We hope to connect members with similar interests to each other. With the aim to inspire and collect ideas for ways scouting could further embrace diversity and inclusion in South Australia. \nWe are planning 3 gatherings in 2023 at the Ascot Park Scout Hall (51 Sixth Ave\, Ascot Park SA 5043) \nSaturday 1st July 2-4pm    ACTIVITY:  Help paint a banner inspiring others to celebrate of diversity \nSaturday 23rd September 2-4pm (Activity TBA) \nSaturday 2nd December 2-4pm (Activity TBA) \nWear your scout neckie with your choice of casual clothes or a scout shirt. DESCRIPTION:Come along and cook some food outdoors. This is not a competition – it’s all about the book!\n \nOpen to Mawson district members in all sections: Joeys through to Adults. All SA Rovers are invited too. (Rovers don’t belong to a district.) Enter as an individual\, in pairs\, patrols or even a whole unit working together! Why not form a patrol of leaders and parent helpers and show us how it is done!\n \nMore information is available by the Q-Store here.\n \nChoose your category and send us the recipe.•    Lightweight hike cooking•    Standing Camp cooking•    Campfire cooking\n \nDate\n \n27th August 2023\n \nLocation\n \nBrownsea\, Woodhouse Activity Centre\n \nTimes\n \n8am – Organisers arrive to set up marquees and mark out sites10am to 11am – Campfire. Entrants can arrive any time after 10am12:45pm – Parade (Everyone must attend the parade)1:15pm to 5pm – Entrants can depart any time before 5pm\n \nWhat to wear\n \nWear your scout shirt and neckie so we can see all of the badges and which section you are from.  The photos will have scout shirts in them. Parent helpers will be in casual clothes which is ok.\n \nPrices\n \neBook: $10Printed Book: $25\n \nAt the event\, we will photograph your team\, your ingredients\, your cooking setup and your food when it is ready to serve. After you have eaten what you cooked\, review it and we will publish your review with the recipe in the book.\n \nNote for the Photography Patrol: Ensure you have registered to the Photography Workshop for Mawson Cookout (8 July 2023).
